In the centre of the historic town of Bury St Edmunds you’ll find the world famous Greene King brewery.

There has been a brewery on this site since 1700, but brewing in the town can be traced back as far as the eleventh century!

Experience the breweries proud history for yourself at the onsite Greene King Visitor Centre. There’s a fascinating museum, where you can discover how the town’s chalk wells have served brewers for centuries, and how the Greene and King families came together to create the company we know today.

Browse the shop and its extensive array of brewing memorabilia, merchandise and, of course, world-famous beers.

For those passionate about beer, you simply must take a guided tour of the art deco Brew House, built in 1938. See how real beer is brewed using natural ingredients and traditional brewing methods. The tour includes the best view of Bury St Edmunds from the roof (weather permitting), and tastings of their different cask beers in the Brewery Tap.
